Artist Bio I photograph the beauty around me. Sometimes this is simple, there are so many beautiful places in our world. Sometimes there is a bit of work to get to the perfect spot. Other times I document the beauty of everyday life. My favorite thing to photograph is forgotten places, often these are ghost towns.

I prefer to go simple, using available light, my Canon camera, and only minimal post-processing.

I have been an artist all of my life. Earning a BA in Fine Arts with a concentration on Photography at Central Washington University, I moved on to many different jobs doing portraiture, including children, babies, pets, adults, glamour and school photos. I have also done real estate photography, wedding photography and journalism photography. But my heart has always been in my fine art photography.

It's my passion to get people to stop and look around. It is so easy to get caught up in life and forget what an amazing place it is we live. Beauty is everywhere.

"Grey Room" was taken on an adventure through Eastern Washington, searching for abandoned places and ghost towns.

"Green Tin Wall" was taken very near the location of the Artrails show. We took the scenic route one day and came upon this gorgeous patinated wall.
Image 2
"Disassembled Past" was taken in a small town near Mt. Rainier called Wilkenson. It's not abandonded, but it has been around a long time. I loved the humor of the basket of doll heads in this shop's window.
Image 3
"Eastern Washington Ravens" was taken inside an abandoned farmhouse. I looked up and this pair were glaring down at me. I took a quick photo and then left them in peace.
Image 4
"Beacon Feed Store" was taken along a country road in the Lakes region of New York state.
Image 5
"Schoolroom" was taken in Bannack ghost town in Montana. This was one of the better built buildings, so it has held up well over time.
Image 6
"Fields of the Past" was taken in Harrisburg, Oregon. This piece of farm equipment had helped feed people for many years.
Image 7
"Wasps" was taken in Harrisburg, Oregon. I can only imagine the size of the wasps nest inside of this old tank!
Image 8
"Room with Stool" was taken in Bannack ghost town in Montana. I love the lighting in this almost empty room.
Image 9
"Tin Wall" was taken near Centralia, Washington. I love how they used old sheet metal signs & containers to build this.
