Amanda Hanson is a wool fiber artist and watercolor illustrator living and working in Centralia. In 2013 she received her BFA in Studio Art from Central Washington University. The focus of her artwork is primarily wildlife, especially species found around the PNW. She enjoys using her artwork as a tool to educate viewers on lesser know or misunderstood animals.

She works as an instructor for Art for Kids School, an after-school multimedia fine art program based out of Olympia.

She also teaches art classes independently and through Centralia College's Continuing Education program for Senior Citizens.

Amanda is the Jr./Sr. High Art Superintendent for the SWW Spring Youth Fair.

In her spare time she likes to do wildlife photography, cook, knit, play video games and have game nights with her husband and friends.
