Di-Zine Wearable Art

Diana Morgan enjoys creating one-of-a-kind garments for people who like to wear unique clothes that reflect their moods. She uses uncommon fabrics such as upholstery, drapery and suede fabrics to create unusual jackets, vests, hats and creature sculptures.

By layering and piecing together fabric, then adding embellishments such as specialty yarns, ribbons and strips of cloth, Di-Zine Wearable Art turns the ordinary into extraordinary garments.

Creating knitted and felted hats has inspired Di to design teapot cozies and creature sculptures. By combining uncommon fabrics and textiles with unique designs, Di-Zine knitted hats and sweaters depart from the expected and enter the world of ART.

Di and her husband Mike own and operate Gallery 505, as well as the Morgan Arts Centre. They teach or host art classes throughout the year at the M.A.C. In July, they run the Camp Picasso art camps and the Children’s Theater Workshop.

In addition to teaching, the Morgans put on yearly events like the Vernal Equinox Art Fair in March, The Battle of the CowlArtz (student art show) in May, the Holiday Art Market in November and a Santa's Workshop in December. The Morgan Arts Centre is also the meeting place for ARTrails of Southwest Washington.
