I use only oil paint, sometimes I let the paint completely dry between applications and often I mix the colors on the canvas while they are still wet. I am a messy painter, often wasting paint and occasionally I will thoroughly clean my paint brushes. It's a miracle my paintings are usually a success.
ABOUT ME: It seems like just yesterday I was young. Today I am over 80 and paint with enthusiastic, intense, meaningful designs and colors. Most of my paintings are abstract or impressionist in composition. I have had many one man shows. Even hung at the Frye Art Museum in Seattle.
My recent emphasis is on what I call “name paintings”. I will ask a few questions about the person—what they enjoy doing- their work-their hobbies-their personality and then I paint a very creative
“One of a kind” individualized painting. They are great gifts for that special person. I will feature a few for you to enjoy (in my home studio) for the ARTtails Studio Tour.
