I am a weaver. Creating a piece of fabric on a multi-shaft loom brings me joy and peace and satisfaction . Maybe the joy comes from realizing I created something unique . Maybe the satisfaction comes from knowing I finished a project. And maybe the peace comes from all of the above.
The world of weaving is far more vast and complex than I could have imagined as a beginning weaver years ago. Even the sometimes tedious process of preparing the project, ie:"dressing the loom" , has taught me patience and acceptance. The finished product isn't always what I had imagined but it is always what it was meant to be.
